Coat of Arms

Shield Or two millstones Gules, in chief a heraldic fountain, in base a chestnut tree eradicated Vert fruited Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "PEREDO DOS CASTELHANOS".

Presentation of Castedo

Castedo was one of the nine communes of Moncorvo mun. [pt-tmc.html] not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 180 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 17,79 km².
